The following are the important outreach programs of the church.

Feed My Sheep
This program, operated by St. Philip's Church, provides nutritious, home-delivered meals on Saturdays to about 60 home-bound persons. For more information, call (301) 888-1536.

Peter A. Gross, Sr., Scholarship/Memorial Fund
The Peter A. Gross Sr. Scholarship/Memorial Fund, Inc. was established in May 2005 to provide some assistance to students continuing their education.  They also provide other needed services to local community families.  For more information, call 301-888-1475.

St. Philip's Seniors Van
The van provides free medical transportation to seniors in lower Prince Georges County and the northeast portion of Charles County. The van is owned and operated by St. Philip's Church. The van was made possible through the generosity of the Women's Guild of Seabury Resources for Aging of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington, DC. The van was first put into service in November of 1996. In the first year, the van provided more than 2000 rides, serving more than 120 individuals.

In addition to the medical appointments, which make up the bulk of the Van's clientele, the Van runs occasional shopping trips for groups of seniors and takes seniors from the Brandywine Area Senior Citizens on outings for bowling. Seniors desiring to schedule a medical transportation trip may call 301-888-2196. *This ministry is currently not in service.  We are seeking a funding source to revive it.*

United Thank Offering (UTO)
St. Philip’s participates with the United Thank Offering in providing funds to support those in need.  The United Thank Offering addresses compelling human need through grants to projects that alleviate poverty, both domestically and internationally, within the Anglican provinces, dioceses and companion dioceses.  To receive information on obtaining a UTO grant, please visit their website at www.episcopalchurch.org and select United Thank Offering under “Partnerships.”

Adopt-a-Road
St. Philip's participates in this Prince George's County run program by cleaning the section of Baden-Westwood Road that passes the church and beyond.

Volunteering
Do you want to volunteer with any of our ministries or at any of our events?  St. Philip's welcomes volunteers of any faith, age and gender.  We do not require membership to the church.  However, those working with the youth ministry will be required to undergo specialized training.  If you are interested in volunteering, please email your interest to stphilipsbaden@yahoo.com.
